Senior Web UI Designer

Responsibilities: Sole user interface designer for public facing eCommerce website charged with leading the online customer experience, web usability and user interface design through: requirements gathering, sitemaps and/or flowcharts, information architecture, paper prototyping, GUI compositions, HTML/XHTML prototypes, CSS, and design specifications. Participated in daily scrums and weekly sprint cycles and helped monitor and respond to customer feedback.

• Designed the entire public facing eCommerce website, including production ready XHTML and CSS, for all launch ready requirements and features in 6 months
• Consulted on brand creation
• Completed user interface designs, consultation and production ready XHTML and CSS for over 20 projects and feature sets in the first year of my role and more than 12 during my second
• Provided knowledge sharing and thought leadership for innovative design ideas, new feature sets and implementation of web standards through brown bag presentations, email newsletters, and weekly mentor meetings
• Lead the recruiting effort an additional designer during leave of absence

Web Usability Designer

Responsibilities: Web usability and user interface design for merchant intranet, extranet and internet sites. Including: requirements gathering, sitemaps and/or flowcharts, information architecture, paper prototyping, GUI compositions, HTML/XHTML prototypes, CSS, and design specifications.

• Active participant on GUI standards team
• Help integrate usability and design in to current development process
• Conducted over 10 contextual interviews in partnership with another employer to gather requirements and define the scope for a large, internal website focused on providing quality healthcare.

Designer

Responsibilities: Web graphic user interface design for merchant applications, global navigation and search. Including: requirements gathering, sitemaps and/or flowcharts, information architecture, paper prototyping, GUI compositions, HTML/XHTML prototypes, CSS, and design specifications.

• Created new email list for web standards and published quarterly newsletters on semantic markup while evangelizing its use where appropriate and effective
• Provided design and usability expertise and consultation for over 13 projects in the course of 1 year

Web Graphic Designer/Web User Interface Designer

Responsibilities: Web graphic user interface design for intranet, extranet and internet web-based sites and applications. Including requirements gathering, sitemaps and/or flowcharts, information architecture, paper prototyping, art direction, graphic layout and design, GUI compositions, graphics production, HTML templates, CSS, junior programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and project management.

• Participated in designing, building, implementing and/or maintaining 15 websites/web-based applicaitons.
• Redesigned a website of over 22,000 pages.
• Acted as Art Director for the SPIEWorks websites and promotional collateral, including building the brand identity for this branch of the organization.

Graphic Designer
